Acupuncture

Effective Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the Ontario government has lifted the Provincial Stay-at-Home Order and enhanced enforcement measures to reduce mobility under the red-control zone of province’s COVID-19 response framework. Regulated health services continue to remain open, and TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists may continue to operate with all safety precautions in place.

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine “pins” to stimulate healing in the body. Acupuncture helps your body to get back to its natural state of health by adjusting the flow of Qi, or energy, to flow properly through the acupuncture meridians. The meridians can be likened to a highway – if there is construction (injury or illness in the body) there will be a traffic jam. Acupuncture provides the detour!

Whether you suffer from anxiety, IBS, arthritis, insomnia, painful periods, night sweats or hot flashes, to name a few things, acupuncture can help. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture begins with an extensive health history, and then I translate these findings into a TCM “diagnosis”. I choose acupoints that are specific to your condition and person. Sometimes modalities like cupping, electro-acupuncture or shiatsu will be employed to help your body heal.
